Make this a portable application so people who use school pcs, library, other public pcs, can carry the app and their protected files on a USB stick. JPG should be an output option. Vista's picture viewer, for example, will only open jpgs. Jpg uses

I know many people who have to use a computer at school and/or also rely on public computers or friends computers for doing homework etc that require internet usage. Thus, by necessity they carry all their data on portable hdds or usb sticks. Also, when a program that created a file must also be the one to open it, it should be portable so that a backup copy of the program can be kept on a usb stick etc, even if the main copy is on your hdd. Otherwise, all it takes is a hdd failure, a severe malware attack, or other calamity necessitating reinstalling a pc from scratch, or for the file to be transferred to a pc without the program also available to open it, to render the protected file inaccessible to the owner, thus being as big a crisis as if the program and its files were wiped out by virus or forever gone due to hdd death, etc.)

The only way I trust keeping private or secure files safe anymore, is to put them on a usb stick not on a hard drive. Recently some kind of malware I've been unable to identify,. invaded my Vista laptop when a legitimate site force redirected my browser to open an unsafe site,. in spite of WOT. The malware made itself Vista admin & locked me out of the admin acct, and took control,. disabling sys restore, wiping out all restore points, denying me access to sysrestore, regedit, and most other important system editing & control settings so I cannot make any changes to regain access or undo the changes made by the malware. Browsers were ALL hijacked. Scans with numerous av, antispy, etc programs give clean scan results (a few of those I've tried are malwarebytes, superantispy, combofix, gmer, sysinternals rootkit detector, housecall online scan, spybot s&d, and numerous other tools&online scans). Windows update is blocked,. updates for windows security essentials is blocked, a number of other security related sites are blocked. However, I was able to move all my important document files, photos, etc, to a portable hdd and off of the infected pc.
If I had this app installed on that pc before it became infected and had used it to embed files, I'd now be in the position of having no way to access my secure files other than to open them on that infected pc. If I ended up having to totally reinstall the pc with original OEM disk, I'd lose your app in the process, & be unable to open the embedded files on the usb stick.
With malware becoming nastier and more sophisticated at evading detection and disabling or blocking det
